I'm frightened to start a general discussion there, as the first post would be a salvo against the increasingly irrelevant, incestuous and repetitive superhero comics blighting the medium.

This is why you're not allowed to start it.

The rest of us, however....

(And there's plenty for me to get on a box about, too, but lot's of other things to be positive about. Sometimes.)

Also:

I can see spending a few hours here: http://www.obakemono.com/introduction.php

:D
*bookmarks it*

Well, there goes my afternoon.

Aaaand, gross side note: I read the front page "Sekien Toriyama was the first to catalogue Japan's vast bestiary," as "Sekien Toriyama was the first to catalogue Japan's vast bestiality,"

My head is in a really wrong place now.

Or possibly it started in a wrong place and that was the problem.

ETA: And actually, that site doesn't look all that big. And some of the links were expired. So...I have my afternoon back. But still interesting.

FWIW, and because when else do I get a chance to showcase my knowledge of such things, but from official sources, a proper samurai's backside was supposed to smell like shrimp.

I do not know why, and that was something I didn't want to ask.

But just to let you know you weren't terribly far off, Soapy.

You are even more twisted and wrong than me for knowing that.

Thank you.

ETA: Only, I cannot eat my lunch now. :e2bummed:

Suddenly all the food here looks mutant and gross. I suspect I was spoiled by fresh, real, non-mutant food while I was state-side.

Also, samurai. Ew.

:D I'm okay. Today was nice weather. I had my teeth cleaned. My index card outline was behaving.

No one had breakdown while we ran errands. It was all good.

How are you?

Sounds like a good day!

Today was my day off so I got a pedicure, had Chinese with a friend and the kid she nanny's for, took a nap and was woken up from my nap my my apartment manager coming in to show my apartment without calling or knocking. Nothing like being seen pantsless in bed by 2 strangers.

*tries not to let her temper flare*

Sounded good up until you woke from the nap. :(

I once had an apartment maintenance guy come in while I was in the shower. He said he knocked and there was no answer so...

You'll be out of there soon, then? If he was showing it?

And I think it's okay that you let your temper flare.

I scheduled the movers for July 5th as well as the internet/cable guy. I'm just so sick of this kind of bullshit. I honestly don't feel safe in my 'home' and that is a sad thing, IMO.

I just wish Gary was here. :(

I haven't been happy with you living there since the guy walked into your apartment. It is long overdue you leaving that place.

July 5th can't come soon enough. I've been on the verge of an anxiety attack all day. Its stupid, but I just don't feel safe here. I don't feel like I can sleep tonight.

:Wha:

That's horrible, wth? No one should be able to just walk into your home without asking your permission first. If I was there, I would've charred him for you. That just pisses me off.

I've never lived in an apartment before, if that's how they do things- I never will.

:Hug2: Abby. Have you found some where else to go?

She's all set to go, and this ISN'T the first time this shit has happened.

I told her to buy a shotgun.
