Oh! They're making a movie for World War Z. That's cool, I guess. (And no I wasn't looking up trailers that entire time, but I did find that one.)

Oh! They're making a movie for World War Z.

Some of the shortcuts the production took to bring it to the screen have seemed, to me at any rate, rather questionable - the scenes they shot in Scotland don't look ANYTHING like the US from what I have seen, so it is probably going to have heavy CGI.

I'm going to keep mentioning this until someone in Hollywood listens - CGI is merely a tool and not a selling point. I'll be willing to go along with whatever they do, but the moment it becomes about spectacle over story? That is when I slam a film hard.

*cough* That, for your information, is one of the greatest actors who has ever lived...

*throws DVD of Cannonball Run at Bos*

Ignore the shitty Frankenstein television series which lasted about three episodes before it was rightfully canceled, and make sure to check out his film listings - he may, if some of the apocrypha about how he picked up cameos is true, be the actor with the most screen appearances in movie history.

Lurking is good. :) You can pick up lots of info by lurking. And the entertainment value on AW is often through the roof. :D

Oh yes. Most of my time is spent in Purgatory. I blitz the horror stuff from time to time.

:hi: Welcome back, Caleb. You'll need  for proper lurking..

But I don't like popcorn. Have any chocolate or coffee or scotch or all of the above?

Uh, Laurie?

You got a little something there on the side of your mouth.

Not saying it looks suspiciously like chocolate crumbs, or anything.

Not saying that at all.

Nope.

Not at all.

What's that? A new mustache you're sporting, Laurie?

Up at the house.
Good afternoon, everybody. I'm trying to get back here on a regular basis. Been flying between Austin, Texas and Indianapolis, Indiana frequently. The Mrs. and I are very busy taking care of business and trying to get her mother moved.

On the writing front, I've been burning up the keys writing new scripts. Maybe someday I'll get good at it.

I love and miss you all,
Rick

Hey, all! Lovin Las Vegas. Indy was kind to me - very little sun burn. Las Vegas seems to have followed suit. I hope Cali gets the message and keeps it up, because crispy is not my best look.

I'm still off adventuring until the 23rd, but I wanted to drop in and say hi, let you all know I was still alive, and all that nonsense. The twitter folks are being treated to a series of photos of those creepy moments when you walk past a place and think, "this is where you'd find a corpse." I'm pretty sure it was my best idea ever, but so far the images are rather boring and corpseless.

And off to adventure some more. Take care, and roast newbies!

The last pic could have an entire stack of bodies hidden there and I doubt anyone would notice... :D

Have you seen Triangle? There's one scene where Melissa George finds a stack of bodies on the ship (where all the seagulls are hovering) - that pic reminded me of that scene for some reason...

Yes, I am weird.
