    February 2012 Blog Chain

Starting Date: Tuesday, February 7, 2012
Open to all forum members, even after it starts!

    Important note:
I will be traveling starting Jan. 27, so the queue might not get updated until Feb. 6 or so depending on my level of internet access. Rest assured, everyone who signs up will be accommodated and the chain will start on time.

    This month's prompt:
    Second Chances

Again, go wherever the prompt takes you. It can be fiction or non-fiction; the second chance in question can be a mushy valentine or a 1-up in Super Mario (or anything in between).

    Instructions:
Simply post your blog's URL in this thread to join. Each post should be less than 1000 words if possible. Read and comment on other participants' posts if you possibly can--they'll be doing the same for you!

I'll let you know in this thread when it's your turn.
Once your turn comes up, you have two days to complete your post. When you are finished, please add a link to your post on the thread. If you signed up but find yourself unable to participate or need to be moved around in the schedule, please PM me or post in the thread. If you fail to post on your blog and on the thread within two days, I'll bump you down to the end of the line on the third day; you'll get a second chance at the end of the month.

Please include a list of all participants' blogs in your blog post, and keep in mind we're not starting until later in the month to give people time to sign up.

I'm curious, but I've never done a log chain before. Could you tell me what I am supposed to do if I sign up?

It's right there in the first post. You get notified in-thread when it's your turn, and have two days maximum to make a post in your blog responding to the theme and share that link here.

I'd be glad to, but I'll need a link to your blog first.

I was confused the first time too. At the bottom of the very first post of this thread it says "archive of past blog chains" click on that, and then click on one of the blog chains....that is what helped me the most. It's fun, give it a try!

Sorry, I'm out. My word count is at 1500 and I don't think I can shrink it. In fact it may grow. So consider me participated in spirit.
Look forward to see what you guys/gals come up with.

I don't suppose you could just give us an excerpt? Maybe the first 500 words or so?

I vote post it in SYW (share your work), and then write another piece for the blog chain.
