Shuffling in here if no one objects. Uh... Well. I write, obviously. Mainly fantasy (no werewolves, vampires or mermaids though, those are banned). I've tried NaNo two years in a row, got up to about 10k both times and then something got in the way.

This will probably be alternately a great source of information and a great source of procrastination. I may have to unplug the internets so try not to be too interesting please.

If you go to the bottom of the page to the 'forum jump' you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. After you post 50 posts you can use the SYW areas to get help there. The password for some of the areas is…..vista. A word to the wise, it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

And overused, though my vote for the most worn-out race goes to the dwarves. :) Nice to see another fantasy writer on here!

I have the same problem, I've done NaNo for the past six years and gotten it twice. I think it's because it's in November and Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Cooking and eating are a lot more fun than struggling over the empty page. :Shrug:

I only let myself go on AW if I've done my daily words. um... well... mostly. Okay, okay, that's the plan.
