What do you say, gang? Porter's avvy is getting to be more than I can bear. It's already more than he can bare.
Awwwwww! So, yesterday my daughter came home to school and said, "I have to go to prom." (For those of you who don't know, she has Down's Syndrome and her speech is limited.) I asked her when prom was and she said, "Tonight. Have to go. I'm queen." I asked her where and at what time and she just shrugged. So, I used my Google-fu and found out that it was, indeed, prom night and we had about an hour and a half to prepare.
Somehow, we pulled it off. An hour after we got there, she received her crown. She was on cloud nine. (Not just because of the crown, but because a very popular boy who was there to assist the Life Skills students by encouraging them to interact and dance spent the entire dance with her. She crushed pretty hard.)
So, here is my five minutes of Mommy Bragging.
