As a super mod you must have access to all of the posts re this that are on the Old Farts thingy. Please transfer them here ASAP. You'd save me a lot of time and my fingers are tired. Had a lot of work to do last night.

Wait until we get around to talking grits ...

Them are pretty popular on the Old Folk place but I think it's related to a dental problem there. That and their taste buds getting too old to work.

Grits are only edible when cooked in bacon grease. If prepared any other way, it's like eating wood shavings.

A sprig of cilantro on the side is always a nice touch too.

In englandland, we call cilantro coriander, and we blurve it.

I had to look this up because I cook with fresh cilantro and I use coriander in my pickling spice. It appears they are from the same plant, but cilantro is the leaves and coriander is the seeds. Either way, the englandlanians have once again proved their superior civility in embracing this plant of the gods.

Re: gritz. For something that can be described and dismissed in three words or less, we spend an awful lot of time talking about it.

a: Grits do not taste as good as wood shavings

b: I don't care what it touches as long as it is not my food

c: At least the Brits are smart enough to destroy the seeds
