That is quite a bit better than never hearing anything...waiting...wondering...holding off on the next submission to avoid conflicts.

I got reject twice on the same submission once. I must have made an impression.

The fastest I ever got rejected - was one in February 2011 - as a response to a 'portal fantasy' I was subbing for MG.

About 5 minutes as well.

Ouch.

*laughs* And it was a long one sentence response by the agent herself. I saved it, just because I was so flabbergasted.

I had all my rejection letters back in about 1 week. Never doing portal fantasy again. I learned my lesson. I found out later that 'portal fantasy' is a bit out of style at the moment for MG/YA.
