When I was a kid we went to Arizona to a ranch for vacation. My mother boots me out to get breakfast and when I went to step of the little porch there was a HUGE rattlesnake. I ran back to the room and my charming mother wouldn't believe me or let me back in until I got her breakfast.
Just because it looks alittle bit like hose ... ?
There are much better things to with rattle snakes than call the fire department ..

it's been biling a good part of the afternoon...I haven't tried it yet, but I did drink some of the sap. It's like thick water with a slight sweetness.
very refreshing on a summer day like today.
It be coming out of the trees here soon ... hope to get about thirty gallons of syrup again.

Nope .. that's syrup at abt 40-45/1. Season only last a couple of weeks so it a pretty busy time. and ... no, we don't cook it on the stove.
Cella .. don't tell everyone about the Santa thing. I'd just as soon have ten months off. Let the damned elves work all year round, I say. I've got some 2x4's to take care of.
