They usually estimate based on either the length of the last full, proper night before the winter sun, or using the timing from the nearest Muslim country.

Even in the UK there actually isn't (technically) full night during the summer, so most people just go either by a rough estimate or use the last valid timing.

All very interesting stuff...

*with minimal biting. To be fair, it is natural for horses to bite when their head is overly messed with. They think another horse is playing the bite-your-face-till-you-back down- game. Mostly though, he's still a brat. Training is fixing that slowly.
