LadyAce and I have been watching the original series on Netflix (she's actually never seen the original show) and we were talking about his acting chops. She's always heard the jokes about how he overacts and hams it up. But after watching the first 10 eps of Season One, she was quite surprised that he was rather good.

I really have nothing to say. Nothing interesting happening here. Just a constant battle for more sleep.

So don't mind me as I alternate sleeping and lurking on this pile of smibbles.

Frankly, I can't believe how good the Shat looks for his age.

In the past I have pulled an incredible amount of stick for telling people that they should watch Lost In Space - I know there are endless jokes about the quality of the writing, the acting, and... well, everything. But if you go back and look at the first season? There's a hell of a lot of work in there, and the feel is completely different to the later, stupid, episodes.

Agreed. First season LIS is such a different show than the last two seasons. Far less camp, far less focus on the "Danger, Will Robinson" aspects, and Dr Smith was legitimately evil.


Same cheesy effects, but that was the era for you.
