Heh, I thought the avatar needed an update. Apparently the pie in the pic was cooked and photographed on April 1, to boot.

So now we have pie, and ice cream.

My hip has been oddly square ever since I had the Pi surgically removed from it.

Bettielee and Goodreads are conspiring against me! I check my email like a normal human being, and find an update from Goodreads (hereafter known as The Evul Website), and Bettie has posted a new book.

The title sounds interesting, so I go check it out. Oooh, sounds even more promising, so i go to Amazon. Double oooh, the first book is a loss leader, with a big price tag of zero dollars and zero cents. So I download it to my Kindle.

Writing is a bit shaky, but then again, this isn't my typical genre, so I'm willing to overlook a little purple prose. The story concept looks to be fun brain candy, so I push on a little further....

Did I mention that I have had a VERY long, stressful day today, and had intended to go to bed two hours ago? Have i ALSO mentioned that I've NOT gone to bed, because I got caught up in said book, and can't seem to put it down, even though I'm tired, and headachey and my back hurts? Have i mentioned that when I'm finished kvetching here, I'll probably read another chapter or seventeen, because I'm a hopeless book junkie who doesn't know when to say stop?

yeah. I'm nuts like that. And i'm never checking my email again!

So tired already. It's 9pm here. I am officially my mom.
