I have what I like to fondly refer to as desert dirt. Which doesn't have topsoil so much as hard dirt on top of hard dirt.

Kind of a bittersweet kind of day here. My grandpa has been diagnosed with lung cancer, inoperable. He's started radiation treatments for pain control, but no telling how long this will last. We're going today to my grandparents for bbq, but this might be the last time he's well enough for all of this.

I fear that day, and it is approaching too quickly. I have about 20 unreads left. It's time that I start thinking about a book order. I need to find a cheaper way to ship over here. Or, be more selective and buy new so I can make sure my favorite folks get money.

Thanks for all the hugs. We've known this has been coming for a long time. He's been on borrowed time for 5 years now. Except this time, we know what's going to get him. (heart issues, stomach issues, excessive mood swings, psycholigical issues) It isn't so bad now, but I don't think he's going to last until Christmas.

Been a busy couple days.

Still watching my kitteh improve. She's back to the wet cough, but not dying, so I'm thinking allergies. Mold from the basement most likely, or dust from the litter box. *sigh*

Spent the day in Annapolis, got a walking tour of the Naval Academy plus a boat tour of the harbor. Twas informative.

Yesterday was spent with girlfriend's family, mom's day cookout.

So many chores around the house to do. Writing falling to the wayside...

God I feel pitiful right now.
