Took my sickly head of doom to the doctor today.

Bacterial infection in my eye and yellowish fluid behind both ears. Oral and eye drop antibiotics for me. I kid you not when I say the pain from this episode of illness has been way up on the list of the worst in my life. Way worse than surgery or childbirth.

That sounds awful. Are you at least able to spend a few days relaxing and recuperating?

If the world is coming to an end I'd better type faster.

I am home today from work since I'm supposed to be contagious. I hope I feel better soon. I'm not feeling as good as I thought I would this morning though.

What you need is a contagious that doesn't make you feel bad.

My contagious doesn't feel that terrible so long as I manage the pain and I rest every so often.

My antibiotic eye drop burns like a mother though.

Do they make such a thing?

And can we patent it and make a fortune selling it?

Like my student who, I kid you not, had a medical excuse for not being able to come to the 8 AM class. Of course, that was more his uncle being a local doctor than it was anything actually medical, but still, I told my boss if we could market that we could all retire.

I leave for less than a day and we get another new name?

So, it's my birthday and I'm not doing anything special today. Very busy work day with lots of meetings. Planning to go to my Krav Maga class tonight. Husband is working late, so I must fend for my own food. I swear, the older I get, the less exciting birthdays are.

    Upside: Avengers this weekend.
