    January 2012 Blog Chain

Starting Date: Monday, January 9, 2012
Open to all forum members, even after it starts!

    Important note:
I will be traveling starting tomorrow, so the queue might not get updated until the new year depending on my level of internet access. Rest assured, everyone who signs up will be accommodated and the chain will start on time.

    This month's prompt:
    Winter Nightmare

Another broad one: go wherever the prompt takes you. It can be fiction or non-fiction, the nightmare can be Cthulhu or just a struggle with a troublesome New Year's resolution (or anything in between).

    Instructions:
Simply post your blog's URL in this thread to join. Each post should be less than 1000 words if possible. Read and comment on other participants' posts if you possibly can--they'll be doing the same for you!

I'll let you know in this thread when it's your turn.
Once your turn comes up, you have two days to complete your post. When you are finished, please add a link to your post on the thread. If you signed up but find yourself unable to participate or need to be moved around in the schedule, please PM me or post in the thread. If you fail to post on your blog and on the thread within two days, I'll bump you down to the end of the line on the third day; you'll get a second chance at the end of the month.

Please include a list of all participants' blogs in your blog post, and keep in mind we're not starting until later in the month to give people time to sign up.

Me too, please! I think mine will be humorous to others...and hopefully, myself.

I do live in Minnesota, albeit we're having a Portland/Seattle winter at the moment. Last year's winter was certainly its own nightmare.

Seeing as the kickoff is January 9, you didn't miss anything

I'll be posting the kickoff on Sunday. I was going to make something up, but then I experienced a real life winter nightmare and just used that

This is my third chain I've joined Literateparakeet and it's great. Just make sure to keep an eye on the thread, as it moves along quickly. It will be your turn before you know it!
