Howdy all, I'm not exactly new but am finally finding time, energy, and all that jazz to participate here. I have a completed novel (a love story with literary leanings) that got some traction with a small press publisher in 2008, but she decided to 'suspend' new publications when the market crashed. This spring I pulled it out of the drawer and did a couple of edit passes, including one round with trusted beta readers. The work paid off -- I got a full request during a writing conference, my first from an agent. I subbed the m/s 2 months ago (still no word), and am now gearing up for marketing to other agents and editors.

I've had quite a few small pieces pubbed, mostly online venues but a few print, and have a couple of other novels under construction. Very much looking forward to reading and posting, learning from the more seasoned folks, and generally forming online community. Peace...

Nothing better than a good de-lurking. Congrats on the success. It sounds like you've got plenty "seasoning" yourself.

Howdy.

Welcome to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
How do you like your popcorn?

If you go to the bottom of the page to the 'forum jump' you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. After you post 50 posts you can use the SYW areas to get help there. The password for some of the areas is…..vista. A word to the wise, it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.
