For what it's worth, the owner of Techstreet appears to be Thomson, a huge publishing empire. "Mr. Maryn" is gainfully employed by a Thomson corporation. He tells me, in a conversation in loud voices across the hallway, that TechStreet produces widely-respected and distributed Industry Standards publications. His impression is that their writers are first experts in the given industry, secondarily writers.

Brick by Brick, a ménage à trois novel (soon to be re-released)
Taming the Wilde, FemDom spotted--and striped--in the wild
Men in Love, anthology about--hey, you're already there, aren't you?
Maryn Says, an irregular blog almost never about writing
