I have been signed up here for two years but the demands of school have made me a limited poster. I am currently a student, an older undergrad going for my BA in English and Creative Writing and an MFA in Creative writing (hopefully a fully funded MFA ride to Ann Arbor :) ). I am 33 and I write fiction, flash fiction mostly and am currently working on a novel. My flash will be appearing at Connotation Press's (I read in Strunk & White to add an apostrophe after the s?) website (www.connotationpress.com) on October 15th and something soon at Pure Slush. I don't mean for this to sound like a promotion but I'm really happy.

I started out a poet who couldn't write poetry to save her life. Well, I could but it wasn't publishable. I've since had some published in my school's journal but that doesn't count. :p

I've learned a thing or two between the walls of my classrooms, albeit not all of which I follow. Am looking to bust out of this lonely world where when I speak of foils and main characters to my friends they nod and say, "Mmm hmm." :) I'd like to be a help to any writer and when I am able to post my own stuff I'm getting the thick skin and will be willing to take any criticism. School is not for another 4 months for me, so I'm going to enjoy this. I'm glad to be here. :)

Welcome back to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
How do you like your popcorn?

If you go to the bottom of the page to the ‘forum jump’ you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. Most of the SYW areas require the password of ….vista. A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.
