Ooh, I'm applying to Durham, Exeter and UCL too! I was going to apply to Cambridge as well but changed my mind at the last minute :) My friend is applying to Oxford for English Lit and my school is really obsessed with Oxbridge so she has sessions where they give her past interview questions and things. In her practice interview they gave her a poem and basically grilled her on it. They also get her to tackle some pretty odd questions like "How can you tell the difference between poetry and prose?" Most of it isn't about having a "correct" answer, they just want to know how you think. The Student Room is really good if you want to know about things like that. They actually have all these files at my school where people have written up about their interview experience/questions. It's a bit insane. Good luck!

Oh, holy shit.

It's night time here - and it already feels like summer.
I've got my WiP opened in front of me. I will tackle this plot blockade tonight, damnit.

I don't think I've seen you around before. Are you new, or am I going old really young?

Kind of new :)
I discovered the site a while ago, lurked for a while, created an account but didn't post much then I got busy with school and stopped coming, but I'm back now.

Hey, Ky. :)

I need a side project to work on while waiting for NaNo - for when I'm not doing coursework. Any suggestions?

So, here are the traditional questions for new twifties.

1) How old are you?
2) What genres do you write?

Tally, thank you so much for your song suggestion. You helped me flesh out Alex (in an unexpected way!!) and gave me an actual ending. I was terrified I would still have three possible endings by NaNo, lol.

The fact that Alex has changed may be a good thing, because I've decided to do alternating POVs between Maria and him, and it gives him an external (or is it still internal?) motivation. :)

Good. :) I don't have class for 7 more hours, so I don't have to rush to finish my homework.

How're you?

Why don't you take a break from writing, then?
Can you email your professor about the thing your confused about?

So, here are the traditional questions for new twifties.

1) How old are you?
2) What genres do you write?

1) Just turned 18 (I feel OLD)
2) I'm open to writing in pretty much all genres but I suppose most of my projects have fallen somewhere under the speculative fiction umbrella. One future novel is historical though. The one I'm working on right now is dystopian :)

What's everyone else writing at the moment?

Yes.

I need a beginning - in other words, I need a song (pop punk) to inspire a beginning scene.
