No i havent... its a long story basically i was embarrased i wrote/didnt know how to get them published till i was 17. I also have a learning disability, think dyslexia but sort of worse (as i just found out) so all my books are riddled with horrible grammer and spelling mistakes (that i have tried but can not fix on my own)... because of that reason very very few people are willing to beta, and the ones that do seem to realize its a bit of a "task" and usually drop out a few chapters in or just never get back to me. So i'm stuck in a vicious circle of trying to just get to the stage where i can write a query letter and send it out.

As for book lengths, lets see my go as followed (these are not exactly the right numbers but i'm rounding )

117K, 110K, 125K, 150K, 130K, 140K, 180K, and my WIP right now is at 140K.

Ally, if you need someone to line edit and fix spelling/grammar stuff so that you can at least get it in a shape where other people are more willing to beta, I'd be happy to do that. I'm obsessive about fixing spell and grammar stuff.

Also, hi guys :D

Really? That would be awesome! My one "beta" sort of fixed a few things so once i actually add those corrections in I'd be very greatful if you could do that for me. Like beyond greatful!

Although those corrections arnt for the whole book just a few chapters sadly.

Wow that is nearly a million... actually in reality its over a million because i re-wrote my first book 4 times and then there is Unsung Zeros that is about 80K.

ETA: there are 1,084,170 words in the Harry Potter series... hahah i'm so going to beat that at the rate i'm going.

Hey, i'm also up for proof reading as well if you need someone to help. i'm more than willing. It sucks being dyslexic. I've had friends that are/have been, and my brother is a little bit, too (although he wont admit it, it's fairly obvious). So yeah... just drop a note if you want :)

Although from what i've heard, some of the best authors started off, or are still dyslexic. So you never know... you might get SUPER lucky :)

So my whole life i thought and knew i was dyslexic but my mom didnt want me to be labled so never got me tested although she too knew there was something very very wrong with me.

Anyway it stopped bothering me from 6th grade onto highschool, yeah i still had to work harder and couldnt spell to save my life but i still got straight A's (my teachers realized there was something off about me but never pushed for me to get tested because i was doing well)... anyway now in college i've run into ALOT of problems and went to seek help. I just got tested last month and got my results back last Thursday...

Any way when your tested they test your IQ and then compare that to how you preform on an academic test and if your academic tests dont match your IQ score there's something wrong... So they found alot of things wrong with me but got REALLY confused when they saw my essay writing score of 130, my IQ itself was only somewhere between 113-120!

So the lady who gave me the test couldnt figure out why it was so high, and asked some experts and they couldnt figure it out either, and just left it up to it being some sort of error or abnormality considering for spelling i got a 80 and for sentence composition i got a 93 both below average... hehehe so she asked me if i knew why i got so high and i told her i wrote books and she looks at me dumbfounded and goes... "Ohhhhhh... its still strange..." then asked me if i cheated... Hello i was locked in a room with only a pencil and wrote it infront of you!

Hahah that IS strange. But i guess, even though you have dyslexia, doesn't mean to say you can't work just as hard as the rest of us. In fact, i'm not dyslexic (not that i know of. Just kinda lazy) and even I don't do well on essays. So yeah... you're like some super genius.

So sorry Allie, but it is kind of funny - that she still didn't really 'get it', I mean...:)

they came up with the ultimate conclusion that it was just do to my education and constant need to write essays.

It would be freaking cool to be a super genius, but my IQ only on the high average range.

And sadly I discovered I'm not dyslexic like i thought i was my whole life. To my suprise i dont have one learning disability but TWO! Lucky me. And they are both so bad that I fall within less then 1% of people my age... in both of them! Oh well math and reading are overrated!

Between a rock and a hard place. Sort of cozy here
Days like these make me remember why I started writing:

I was fucking bored. :) And then, in fifth grade, I realized it was pretty fun.

ETA: I brag about my little brother's IQ to all my friends. The doctor's said it was in the 150 range. :D :D That boy will do big, big things in his life.

60 is mentally retarted. There is no way you are 80. 100 is average. anything above 110 is high average and anything above 130 is genius.

REALLY 150!!! that's like up there with Einstein! Holy crap! What's your IQ do you know, usually that sort of thing runs in the family. You might not be a genius but on the high end of high average.

An IQ of 80 is extremely low, heading toward being unable to function normally. You'd have dropped out of school already. You wouldn't be able to hold an intelligent conversation. It's more likely your IQ is around average, close to 100.

wow! That's awesome for him!

I was expecting to be around 100 too... I technically really could be... because i have those learning disabilites they cant accurately rate my IQ only put me in a range. So i'm somewhere between 108-118. But even that could be wrong they told me... becuase they were really shocked by my scores and deficits... There was a 40 point deficit between my verbal comprehension and working memory... But apparently i write essays like a genius! hahaaahahah!

0_0 My cousin was right. If you start to google "what should I do if", one of the suggested searches is "what should I do if a ginger kid bites me".
