Hmm. I didn't get too emotional in that book. Except for Snape. Always Snape...

I don't think I could pick one scene that hit me hardest. However... I've always liked Snape. He made me really upset sometimes, but I've always liked him.

ETA And now I'm going to bed. I'm exhausted. G'night, TWFTies!

I wanted to like him. But when he killed Dumbledore, I hated him. But when I learned what happened in The Deathly Hallows, I like him again. I liked him the whole series, except for that little part.

I found myself enjoying the Order of the Pheonix a lot more than I remember.

My favorite thing about re-reading the series has been seeing all the subtle tensions that are ripping at the wizarding community. It makes sense that Harry - at 11 - would not see all the problems...but by 16, it's clear that the wizards...

Well...even the "nice" ones are kind of huge assholes. Elf rights, goblin rebellions, nearly exterminating giants, and it's heavily implied that centaurs are put on reservations (which has never ever EVER been pleasent for anyone involved).

I mean, Voldermort is the bigger evil, but I feel like Harry, Hermonie, Ron and everyone else have a bigger, longer, less dramatic slog to change the wizarding world.

Or they're going to reap what they've sown. Probably in the form of another Voldermort.

What made him, afterall, but hatred and ignorance in an intelligent mind?

    Morning.

I don't know what to read, now. I'm longing to read Harry Potter again, just after finishing it, but my cousin/aunt has the first book, and she is taking forever to read it. Bah.

  12. #7612
My cousin suggested Pewrcy Jackson... Hmm... Did anyone here read that?

I liked Percy Jackson well enough. My sister loves it, though.

I love that series. The whole series is good, but IMO the last book is the best. One of my favorite books.

    Why, what happened Glo?

I have a case of writerly blues as well, but that's because I reread old pieces of writing when I should know that never ends well...
