Thanks team! The YA UF is going great. It has ninjas and car crashes and sword fights. :D

Oh! By the way. I am currently outlining using the spreadsheet method and it is working wonders for me. :hooray:

That's awesome! I'm really glad you're finding it helpful. I need to sit down and hammer out a spreadsheet for this novel before I run out of beginning - I'm pretty much down to a vague idea about someone getting shot in the lung. So we can outline together. :tongue

I'm so excited. It's taken me a while (since December, actually) but I started writing again!! Woooo!! The WIP is already 10k long after three days. :)

I'm going to try the spreadsheet method with my next project - which, as it stands, is going to be Underdogs. I'm just wondering what I'm going to do with all those ideas for scenes I have that don't have homes (i.e. chapters to go in). I'll still be using OneNote for my blurb, character profiles and music stuff, and attaching the spreadsheets in once they're done (updated in there each draft/each time there's drastic changes).

Yeah, what Keags said.

Why are you setting it in a specific time period?

ETA: I mean for a non-historical/futuristic novel.

Haha Para! I thought you said it has "cat ninjas and car fights"

That is what I get for reading fast. XD

Right now my spreadsheet is ever changing. I might have to switch to a dedicated spreadsheet thing like Excel if it gets any bigger. Right now my spreadsheet is located in Scrivener via table function. :tongue

And that's awesome Kosse! I don't think we've met before. But whoo!

It just is, Karla. I didn't plan for it to, but once I put it in my timetable thing to keep track of things, I ended up with dates (you have to insert dates to insert something into the timeline).

Nice job, Kosse!

Apparently Meera is being pissy thanks to what I wrote yesterday. Juuuuust perfect. I think I'll use WoD to beat him into submission.

Just making sure...but you didn't put the dates in?

I follow a specific timeline too. But it's not like you can tell it's in that specific time frame. But you can tell if you do something like insert the last HP movie reference.

I put the dates into the programme to insert the items onto the timeline.

"I can't wait to go see Harry Potter." <~~ that wouldn't be dating it too much, would it?

If you ever need anybody to read it over for you... *wink wink nudge nudge* :tongue

Well, if you really need something to make fun of, I do seem to have some gibberish to send you ... :D

No it isn't Karla, not unless they see it on a date or something.

Also, so close to finishing Chapter 11! And I will hit 30K either this weekend or early next week! :D

'Ello again Ally.

ETA: God, I have got to finish this scene. The next one is something I've been wanting to write for ages.

No it isn't Karla, not unless they see it on a date or something.

Then why use the reference and date your novel? You don't have to be specific about what movie they see on a date either

ETA: Whoa. I gotta run. It's almost 6 and I did not start revising. My deadline is approaching...

Later, guys!

I have a feeling my spreadsheet outline is going to be insanely long. I'm working out the kinks on chapter 1, becuase I realized chapter 1, 2 and 3 where made up of one scene only. So I merged those scenes into one chapter, which is chapter 1.

Only now each scene is getting its own line cell thing. :< As of now, Chapter 1 has three rows, one for each scene.

Plotting. It's complicated.

AND I LOVE HELLO KITTY. D:<!!!

See Ya Karla! Good luck on those revisions!
