My favorite is the one she sings in the beginning of the movie, because that was me when i was little. The weirdo of my town. Kids in my class actually called me Bell for a while because i would read and walk at the same time.
Usually I'm called Ivi, but I've been called Ivy or Ivs as well. I'm fifteen. I usually write urban fantasy, a bit of romance... I think there was this story that could be called sci fi too. Oh, will it be a problem that I write comic stories? They're still YA though, not erotic or children's comics or what not. I'm just worried I'll be kicked out because I don't write novels like everyone else :x
hahahah! no your not going to get kicked out. That's really cool actually, you must be able to draw.... something i cant do unless its a stick figure... and i think a few others here write comics or graphic novels
ETA: You have the same birthday as my little cousin. And we should have a cake!!!
A bunch of us on this thread are Classic Disney lovers. Circle of Life makes me cry.
Oh, Lisa, maybe you might like "If Only" from The Little Mermaid Broadway. "If only you could know, if only for a while. If only you would notice how I ache behind my smile..."
I think those are the words. Haven't heard the song in a year.
I did the walking-and-reading thing all the time in high school... I came in to English class once reading Hunchback of Notre Dame and my English teacher called me Belle.
And yes I have that whole movie memorized. No shame.
Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, Beauty and the Beast.... I can't remember what other movies I watched on a regular basis.... As I got older I liked Hercules, but I really didn't when I was younger. I hid it behind the piano because my brother was watching it all the time.
I think I watched some of Disney's movies, but I was too small to remember much... I should prolly go watch them sometime. I got to watch a ton of anime and Miyazaki's movies though xD My dad's to blame though... he read the hobbit to us as a bed time story!
And yeah, I can draw. I'm still new to writing though. I got a bit lost yesterday when I wanted to write some of the story I have in my head. Ended up drawing a storyboard thingie of one scene instead, because I loved the expressions they were making. I'll need to go untangle the bit of plot I already have...
(Oh and go find a blog called hyperbole and a half. The author does hilarious things with her scribbles.)
Okay, admitting it. The Little Mermaid was the first movie I ever got to see in a theater, and is still to this day my favorite. I will never forget seeing that ship come thru the mist and the waves onto a screen so huge I thought I felt the spray on my face as a child.
And yes, I have some of the songs: Kiss The Girl, Part of Your World, Under the Sea
