1. I'm 19 and am a freshman in college
2. Usually it's paranormal/dark fantasy, but at the moment I'm working on a realistic/contemporary novel. Which is odd, because I hardly ever read those....

I'm the same way. I've never read a single urban fantasy book, but my only publication (a short story in an anthology, so not a big deal) was for urban fantasy. Weird... But anyway, welcome!

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that your high school doesn't start at age 11 the way our secondary school does in the UK. I knew you were the baby of the thread, but I'm pretty sure you're older than 10.

IN QUEBEC IT ALSO STARTS AT AGE ELEVEN (OR TEN, IF YOU'RE GOING TO TURN ELEVEN BEFORE OCTOBER)

and high school ends at age 17 there.

xD but in most of North America, high school starts age 14-ish.

...but it's true. I have strange, disturbing, twisted interests. When I was in Grade 4 I was intensely obsessed with the Holocaust.

Evil fascinates me.

I look up masscares for fun...

I just find things like that fascinating even though I ABSOLUTELY HATE MURDER.

High school here starts at grade ten... So I'll be fifteen/sixteen.

In grade six, I was obsessed with researching 9-11. I was watching all these documentaries and stuff.

... Waiting for the nook to charge... So close... To finishing....

Grade 10? really? everywhere else I know of it starts in Grade 9.

(unless there's middle school. is there middle school?)

We have a primary school that goes from kindergarten to grade three. Then another school (my current school) that goes from grade four to grade nine, and then a high school with grades ten, eleven and twelve.

Weird = not a bad thing! maybe a good thing! I don't know.
