I forgot to share- I got two partials yesterday!

So now I'm rushing to finish editing the first 50 pages.

YES! GO TALLY! :hooray::hooray::hooray:

I think this scene, which may be pretty short going by what's in my head, is going to be so full of sexual tension it is ridiculous. "Bad Romance" much?

Mardis Gras ;)

We don't celebrate that here, though. It's Pancake Day for me. I'll be having breakfast for supper :)

I love pancakes. :D

I'm doing a presentation, and I need examples of well known writers who write to music (besides Meyer). I've already got Stephan King, but Google isn't being helpful.

Also I realised that if you dyed his hair dark brown, Bertie Gilbert would be PERFECT for Isaac from Sticks and Stones.

I couldn't think of anything worse than pancakes for breakfast. Just makes me feel sick thinking about it. Pancakes always will always be for dessert choice. xD HA. Hmmm i want more pancakes... maybe tomorrow. To me, pancake day lasts for a few days. because i wait all year for it, and i never want it to end. hahaha

"And in the morning, I'm making waffles!"

Tell me you didn't read that in Murphy's voice, and I won't believe you.

Finally getting round to doing a bit of plotting.

Two questions I have in my head:

How often do I want a flashback?
Do I really need the New Year scene?

Something I just realised about novels with parallel storylines: THEY ARE NOT ALWAYS EASY TO PLOT.

I have no idea whether to have the birthday flashbacks after the present or not...

Hi guys! Its been so long! :)
I just discovered my workplace has a Publishers Weekly subscription! Of all the unlikely things (where I work has nothing to do with publishing)
At least I have a fallback plan when I get bored!

Lisa - flashbacks are awesome!
How is everyone?

MARDI GRAS

And tomorrow, Ash Wednesday, is a public holiday, which means nothing is open but one grocery store... then again, there are only three grocery stores on this island, so...

You have a public holiday on Ash Wednesday? I can't really remember what the occasion is, tbh.

Avoid when possible. Forward moving plots grind to a halt when you switch to flashbacks without a really good cause, and that'll frustrate readers like nobody's business.

Also hi Ely.

HAHAHA. Lestrade (... From Sherlock) is going to be in Doctor Who, according to Sherlockology on Twitter.

I don't know why I find that funny, but I do...

Speaking of that, I found out one of my friends watch DW as well. I was excited, until I found out he only watches the first and ten minutes or so, because it's the "only exciting parts". :(

That's very true, but it's all up to the execution, if you don't notice pacing oddities as a reader, the flashbacks are well executed. A lot of my favourite books have flashbacks that move the story forward.
