Welcome to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
How do you like your popcorn?

If you go to the bottom of the page to the ‘forum jump’ you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. Most of the SYW areas require the password of ….vista. A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

Welcome to AW, Liz's Dad. I think most of us here have heard that spiteful little voice you mentioned - once or twice.... ;)

:welcome: Welcome to the Cooler. Yes, I too waited until the nest was empty and self sufficient before I started working on my dream of writing. I was so glad I stumbled upon this place. Getting published is harder than it seems when you're just dreaming about it. :) Best of luck with your writing. I do know any questions you might have can be answered here.

Hey LD :) Welcome to AW and I often hear that little spiteful voice telling me i write horrible and to just give up! But I don't think we as artist, writers, painters, anything creative, that we will EVER like our own work, and that's actually good in a way, because it only makes us want to be better and learn more :) Dont give up! Keep trying :)

Hey there, LD! I think we all get that way at times, but you're in the right place to fight that feeling. :D

Hello! I think that definitely writing can be a struggle, that's what it's so important to learn when your inner critic is just being a debbie downer and when she's being useful (or he as well). I hope you enjoy it here!

Welcome to the forums

Toughest things so far:
- standing apart from my work and seeing the wood for the trees
- staying motivated and forcing myself to put in the time, regardless of that spiteful voice whispering that your work’s boring, clunky and mundane, there are masses of others with real talent, so why are you bothering when you could be out there living instead! Do we all get this?

Get out of my head, now. It's scary how you read my thoughts like that
