Yeah. Crickets for me too.

But the first R has come in for the Redstone Id contest.
And I really rated the story I sent in for that, so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping.
And checking my email for Rs. Lol.

Congratumiserations. As Alex said, send the story out again. And when you get to a nice round number of rejections, you're allowed to throw yourself a party, just to celebrate that you're still in the game.

Acceptances will come along too, and feel all the sweeter for the road to get to them.

My paper rejection slips receive a proper burial in the trash bin by my desk. Guess I'm not very sentimental.

I actually far prefer e-submissions and have only done a handful of paper ones.

Just got a very detailed personal from Beneath Ceaseless Skies. It's the first time I've subbed to them, so it's nice not to have got a form R straight off the bat. Other than that, crickets.

Got a second form rejection from this particular publisher. I'm only mentioning it here to keep myself from dwelling on this publication's terrible decision. Poor naive editors.

Same here. They seem to be sitting on a lot of pieces. Guessing at this point most decisions will start coming in another couple weeks.

Sorry about the rejections. I've gotten plenty myself. I keep them tacked up on a nail next to my desk. Kind of like trophies I guess.

It pretty much sucks, especially as Shroud are usually good at providing feedback. They must have hated it. But then Shimmer were very positive about it even though they didn't buy it, so I know it's not a bad story. Just not right for Shroud.
