What in the terrible porn hell did they do to Wonder Woman?

They were filming at night when it's 40s/50s, so bare shoulders are going to be cold.

You can see on a lot of indoor sets, too, that between takes the actors are bundled in coats because the AC is blasting so they don't sweat on camera unless they're supposed to.

I noticed they're shooting on Hollywood Blvd, around some pretty recognizable landmarks. Of course, these may not be in the shoot, but any word on where this is supposed to take place?

Yeah, but who is? Hot, athletic, six-foot white actresses seem to be relatively short supply.

Lucy Lawless (5'10") springs to mind.

Besides, with all the people out there who are desperate for a big break, I'm convinced there has to be an unknown who'd make a fantastic WW.

I thought of Lucy Lawless, but I'd imagine that even she isn't wary of going into the lead role as another "super-powered warrior princess," the producers probably would be. It'd be like turning around and casting Tom Welling as Captain Marvel or something. You're trying to establish your own brand and differentiate from any sort of similar properties.

On top of that, with Lucy, she's 43. If you're hoping the series will last a while, then you're wary of going into season 7 with a 50-year-old actress as your superhero action star.

Anyhow, Palicki is tall, fit and fills out the costume. I don't know how much more Wonder-Woman-y any real person can look overall.

Really... the more I look at the pics, the less I'm worried about Palicki pulling off the role or the look of the costume. It works for what it is, and she seems capable of pulling off the role.

I'm more concerned with the writing / stories being corny and the character being weakened / softened.

I don't see what's so bad about it. I think the pants actually work. Perhaps the whole costume is too shiny, but I prefer more clothing to less.

The pants are much better, but I still can't help but feel like I should expect to see her breasts jump out every time she starts running...

That might be a realistic expectation.

Well, the word on the street is that NBC is not going to be picking this up as a series.

The other networks already passed before NBC picked it up.

I'm glad this has (apparently) died a quick and ridiculous death!
David E. Kelly + Wonder Woman = me scratching my head!
The costume and the hair/makeup looked all wrong. She looked like Trailer Trash Woman. The script, from what I read, was mediocre.

I think Wonder Woman needs someone who takes her seriously as a heroine, someone who can take a more realistic approach, like Nolan did with Batman. There's a lot of potential there. It's really frustrating to see it all wasted.

Have you guys seen the Wonder Woman animated film? That's what I'm talking about. That film is really cool.

Bye-bye Wonder Woman. We barely knew ye.

Apparently the suits at NBC looked at this turkey and realized there was not a hope in hell of selling this as part of their fall season. And this is a last-place network that was so desperate it greenlit The Event and The Cape.

Remember when the name David E. Kelley attached to a show was a license to print money and guarantee Emmys? :Trophy:

Nah. Me neither.
