welcome back to me?

Hi everyone, I have not been visiting the forums much lately. Medical crisis and in between jobs is biting my bum. Plus really nothing to report on my submissions, its been ultra quiet for months.. what does this mean??Probably that I don't have enough on the boil. But I'm happy because I have a short published as the feature fiction at Untoward Magazine :) http://www.untowardmag.com/

I love this magazine. Some of the most strange and quirky literature ever! And love the whacky illustrations.

My story is up at the Daily Science Fiction website today :)

http://dailysciencefiction.com/fantasy/modern/shannon-fay/a-special-day

Just read it Sai, it was great. Loved the ending.

And I read your one, I think, Mad Rabbits, if it was 'Meat Talks". Poor sweet ugly moggy - I really felt for him. (If that is your story, you should know that I am from Sydney too.)

And congrats on your new story out Alex.

I have no braggage - but I am happy that today I finally finished an 8000 word sci fi story that grew from a much shorter piece. (It could have become a novel, but I'm not comfortable to go there yet.)

Thanks! And I think finishing a story is plenty brag worthy. Congrats!

Congrats, Mad Rabbits, Alex, and Lizardmaker! :partyguy:

And yep, finishing a story, especially a loooong one, is something to brag about. Kudos to you, fihr! :)

Congrats, Mad Rabbits and Alex!

And, yes, fihr -- plenty to brag about in completing an 8000 word story, too!

Wow! This thread has been so active lately! I need to scroll back and catch up. :) I will say this in the meantime: Congrats to you all!

I have my own bit of braggage. A story of mine, "Knit" went up on Drabblecast on April 20. I only just realized it though! I'd love to hear what you think.

Congrats, Brenda! Drabblecast is a pretty big deal.

Speaking of, I need to query them soon. My story is very near to a 120 day mark since it's been passed up to the editors.

Thanks so much everyone! I'm glad you enjoyed it. That was probably the first story I wrote in recent years where I let it be weird and strange and unravel (pardon the pun) as I went along, rather than plotting.

And yes, Alex, it may be time to query!

Thanks zanjan. Yep life is so unpredictable. I am happy I am just carving out time to write as now.
