The Storm is up over at Eschatology! Leave a comment? :D (I'm curious what people think since it's 2nd-person POV)
I liked it a lot. I don't have nearly enough confidence to try writing a 2nd-person story (though I've written 2nd-person for text games), but I do like seeing it done well.

Oh and my Memory Eater story has a promotional video! Check it out over here:

Pretty cool! I looked at the YouTube page and they did for a couple of the stories, don't know if I've ever heard of a trailer for a story before.

Ha! That's pretty cool, like having your name up in lights. So I take it you're the lead-in story?

Nope I think they;re going to do this for all the 27 stories (or at least for as many authors as are willing to write a few lines of script for the promo)

Baby carriers seem a bit random though. What about some cheap prescription drugs, huh?

My baby is now over a year old so I don't get free prescriptions anymore.... :(

But seriously, congratulations to all the successes. :D

Major Congrats and Colonel Woohoos to everyone in General and each in particular. Yes, I haz braggage! Firstly, up at Kasma, in honour of Alan Turing's centennary, a story about a robot who passed the Turing test. Yes, it did not go well for the robot:

http://www.kasmamagazine.com/the-choir-invisible.html

And, at Nature, in time for my 30th college reunion, a 60th reunion story:

http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v484/n7393/full/484282a.html

Finally, I can't officially talk about this, but it seems another "time-sensitive" story will see the light of day in a timely fashion, if not, perhaps, the way it was originally intended.

Toodloo! [capers off madly]

You're on fire, Anatoly!

(No, really, you should probably put that out before the sprinklers kick in) :)

I found out that, in addition to "In Service of the Greater Cause," Smoke & Mirrors will also be podcasting "The Skeptic" -- my first ever story. This will be its third publication.

Look who's talking - you are selling left and right - you'd better drop those cadmium rods into the reactor!

Well done everyone!!

My news is a weird sort of brag... I just rejected my first ever acceptance. :/ A painful thing to do but I think I did the right thing. I guess the brag is that I have more self esteem about my writing than I thought; I hope I'm not painfully deluded.

Thanks to all of you advised me. :)

I applaud you for doing that, under the circumstances.

I'll let P.D. explain, if he wants to, and will only say that I would have done the same thing.
