Thanks for the advice, guys! I ended up doing some corresponding with an editor there, and he let me know it was fine to announce.

Awesome story, Alex! Congrats on such a great sale.

Another sale to announce!

"Pherusa Among the Stars" has been accepted by Fantastic Frontiers Magazine for an upcoming issue, most likely the August issue.

Congratulations, Chris (and thank you :) )!

Please keep us updated on how your JukePop experience goes. I'm skeptical of their business model but would like to be proven wrong.

I will do. I don't expect to make any money beyond the initial payment, but we'll see. I think it's an interesting idea and if it does prove to work then I would have kicked myself if I hadn't at least tried to get in on it!

Congrats pangalactic and Michael on the sales. Woo hoo! :snoopy: :snoopy: :snoopy:

And yay Alex! I loved your story in Nature. I'm always impressed when you can convey so much in such a small space. :)

Loved your story Alex!

And as it's all now sorted (I subscribe to the "iron out the kinks first then announce the sale" school of braggage ;-)) I'm very happy to be able to say that Jukepop Serials have picked up the first chapter of my as-yet untitled novel in progress, which will be serialised on their site come August/September.

I subbed to them recently. Eventually, I decided to pull out and withdraw my submission given the timetable they were giving me.

How long did it take for you to hear back?

Congratulations again, Michael!

This Michael has a lot of writing, submitting and selling to do before he can hog this thread like Mr. Haynes.

Thanks, everyone! It's been a sort of gob-smacking confluence of events here to lead to all these acceptances in one month.

(Not a sale, per se, but the one Twitter-length story/microfiction in my "inventory" has been picked up by Trapeze, edited by W1S1er Stephen Ramey.)

I'm happy to announce that Penumbra will be publishing my story "Price of Allegiance" in their Politics issue!

After getting passed up to round 2 and rejected in the final round of elimination several times in a row, it feels great to finally break into this market.

And great to hear you finally got through at Penumbra, Alex. They seem like a great mag.
