Scrabbled Poetry - A New Challenge?

Honestly, I have it in the back of my mind that we've done something like this before, but maybe it was awhile ago?

Before we get this rolling along, let me know if this game/challenge already exists on the forums; we've gotten quite BIG, you know.

I've seen this game in educational settings and on refrigerators and I wanted to see if we could get some miles out of it on the poetry forums. The concept is that anyone and everyone who wants to play along gets to submit 10 words.....hmmm....as I think, I vaguely remember Feiss maybe did have us do this????

Anyway, we get until this coming Friday to submit our 10 words....since this is a "new" project, I want to give everyone who wants to a chance to participate. After Friday, I will ask that the List Thread for that week be locked. Starting Friday, after the thread is locked, we have until the following Friday to submit a poem that incorporates as many of those words as possible. (Of course, I'm hoping that we have a large group participating; please, please, please!)

After the Friday that we submit our first group of poems, we have only the following Saturday and Sunday to submit the next group of words, and the week after that to write and submit on Friday. Hopefully, Friday will always be poem submission day and Saturday and Sunday word list submission days. I'm just giving the thread a little longer the first week so that people will have a chance to find out about the challenge.

Sorry, no prizes. We're doing this just for the sheer joy of writing a poem and to be "helped" get some motivation just in case our muse has gotten frozen during this winter weather.

So, here we go! And, since I'm knew at this PL stuff, I would say we can just use this thread to submit your lists. Let's see your favorite 10 words!!

Just decide which ones you would like to submit, preferably in a list, and post reply.

Wahoooooo! You all are my best buddies! Keep 'em coming folks, with lists like these none of us can say we had nothing to write about. I find it so interesting to see everyone's list of words, good stuff!

I am amazed.

First, I need to apologize. I've been away from the forums and let down my duties as PL. I started something and then abandoned it, I'm sorry.

I hit "the wall" in my personal life and just shut down. I'm trying to help my elderly parents and they have alot of medical issues that we're having to navigate for their care. It's a bit draining and my mom is a difficult personality.

I'm doing better and I'll try and get 'caught up' in the next few days.
