I'm running late! Work started to explode on me, and I lost a lot of sleep and time alike because of it. I should have it up somewhere within the next three days.

Mine is up, linky thing here

Everybody has been doing a great job so far, especially considering we are all writing outside our comfort zone. But then, that is the point, isn't it?

I read yours, but was perplexed by the "sign in" requirements. It was a delightful children's story, and the linguistic cleverness also appealed to those of us a few years past childhood. :)

Thank you Hillary.
If you have a wordpress ID, just sign in with that. I used to have it set up so anyone could comment, simply by doing that that funny little math problem, and for some reason my friend, who runs the techie side of things for me, removed that option. I had not noticed, I will have to ask him why.

Tell me what you guys think, as i'm not even sure if it actually directly hits a horror.

Wait, there seems to be a mix up here, did I get skipped? Or did I miss my cue?

Ralph, I don't think there are individual cues, per se, not like the old blog chains. Your "due date" is listed on the first page of the thread as 1/28. Look forward to reading it!

I'll update the final list with direct links asap this weekend. A couple of people had to bow out due to time constraints. I'm coordinating the next two months of games this weekend as well! ;) Announcement soon...

Musical Chairs Blogfest II - February Blogfest

As we're not interfering with the reg'lar Blog Chain (and Regan asked me nicely), the genre-switcharoo continues unabated into the second month of 2011. Yeah, I know this post should have been up a couple of days ago to give everyone a chance to throw their hats in, but it is here now.

You can start adding your names and genres below any time you like...

Which was a hint, in case you didn't notice.

February Say Something New Challenge!!!!

A sort of musical chairs. But this time we're focusing on point of view.

We're doing it again. ;)

If you'd like to join the February challenge Say Something New, then list your name, website and the preferred point of view that you normally write in. (Here is the first post that may explain a little more.)

Then through a fair and scientific method *cough* drawing names from a cup *cough* you'll be assigned to a point of view different than your usual. You will be responsible for writing a flash piece (max 1000 words, no minimum) in your assigned point of view during the month of February. (BigWords is taking charge of this month, so be sure to message him if there is a date you'd like to be assigned for posting. The dates will be spread out to the 12th, 19th and 26th. Here is an example of what January looked like...)

If you're interested, post your info and let's start the chain game...

Thus far, the players are:

Me (quelle surprise) http://bigwords88.wordpress.com/
Jamiekswriter http://jamiekswriter.livejournal.com/
Lady Cat http://carolsrandomness.blogpsot.com
Orion mk3 http://nonexistentbooks.wordpress.com/
Ralph Pines http://ralfast.wordpress.com
Regan Leigh http://www.reganleigh.com/

ETA: As the first week's pieces have to be up in less than a week, I'm going to put up the names for week one within the next day or so. Anyone who wants a specific week should say before I do so.

Sounds intriguing! I am interested. 3rd-person (semi)omniscient is my current most-used style, and my link's in my sig.
