Tom Waits can tear me up with many of his songs, but the one that gets me the hardest is Blind Love.
Linda Ronstadt singing Feels Like Home.
Emmy Lou Harris singing Sailing Round the Room, a beautiful optimistic song about dying, loved and leaned on by a good friend who slipped away much too soon.

Rise Against - Make it Stop (September's children)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XP4clbHc4Xg

I just start crying because it's about the suicides of gay teenagers who were bullied. The video is grim at first, but (spoilers) there's a happy ending. Still makes me cry, because those other kids in real life did not get a happy ending.

There's a lot more to be said, but that's a different issue. Strangely addictive song... I want to listen to it now, but I don't want to cry again and I so will.

Right Here Waiting by Richard Marx. I try to avoid it for that reason, even though it's one of the most beautiful songs in existence.

"Into the West," every single time. Even when you just hear that first snippet of the theme as Gandalf tells Pippin that death isn't the end. In fact, I'm crying just thinking about it.

Also, Elton John's memorial to John Lennon, "Empty Garden."

Also, Don Henley, "The Heart of the Matter."

Also, Puccini, "Un bel di."

Also, Springsteen, "Streets of Philadelphia."

Yes, I could go on....sniff....

One Day Like This - Elbow
Amazing - Bruno Mars
Wheels - Foo Fighters

I first heard the Elbow song about the time I met a certain someone. Amazing was her favorite song for a while, and since I had to fly to go see her, Wheels always makes me think of how excited I was "when the wheels touched down."

Unfortunately, due to the distance and nobody willing to hire me nearer to her, we've gone our separate ways both of us knowing it would have worked had we been able to be together.

I have way too many that make me cry, but one of the worst is probably Martina Mcbride's "Concrete Angel". If you have been or know a kid that was abused, the song or the music video will make you cry. I'm tearing up just thinking about it.

All Linkin Park songs where Chester sings about depression. It's heart wrenching to think how much he actually meant those words. RIP Hero.

I guess more have than I can think of right now, but this recording used to make me tear up just about anytime I heard it. It's beautiful, it's poignant, but the lyrics speak to that hopelessness of feeling alone in a world you can't fit into that most of us have felt at one time or another. I'll link it, most have you have heard it, but I don't think I'll listen--way too early in the day for tears.

Dawn of Time Tribal Seeds

"Virtuous girl, your eyes remind me of a time before this life. Back to a dream, even it seems, as the dawn of time."

The Book of Love
Peter Gabriel

"The Book of Love is long and boring ... but I love it when you read to me. ... The Book of Love has music in it ... Some of it's just transcendental. Some of it's just really dumb. ... It's full of flowers and heart-shaped boxes, and things we're all too young to know."

Crying now.

Also like everybody else on the thread, pretty much any country song that isn't about honky-tonks.

Maria by Blondie. It was the first single off their reunion album No Exit and they sounded like they'd only been gone for 16 months, not 16 years. They're my favorite ever of all time, and I was thrilled beyond belief when they announced they were getting back together for an album and tour. Still going since 1999, having released a total of 7 more albums.
