This would be great of course. But I still ain't buying it.

I'm resigned to the fact that I will be dead before they cure anything.

But damn would I love to be able to bang chicks without worrying about god damn HIV anymore.

This has been around my entire sexual life.

You older folks had it lucky.

Worried about some things of course, but nothing that would kill you.

I want that before I die. And not when I'm 84 and trying to hook up in the old age home.

Stem cell cure for HIV?

If this turns out to be a reproducible result in other patients that leads to a cure, it will be a historic achievement and remarkable advancement for modern medicine, as well as a tremendous joy for all the worldwide human suffering it could eliminate.

Interesting that they do not mention the source of the stem cells. Does anyone know if they are adult or embryo based?

It's not clear to me from reading the abstract (just says that the stem cells were transplants). If someone has access to the full article (online library or journal access), perhaps they could read through it and offer some insights?
