If you use Firefox, you can Google "Ad Blocker". It's an add on that lets you right click on any image you don't want to see and it will give you the option of blocking just the one image or all images on the site.

Once you select the image, it disappears from your screen.

Ooooh! Cool!

This, with the AW logo (or maybe a special AW krampus?), would be the Best. Tee shirt. Evar.

Am considering telling little Aurora the story of the Christmas Krampus, much to the horror of her mother who is joyously anticipating her daughter's first 'real' Christmas.

Heh...I'm such an evil person.

I love the images! Please ..... somebody tell me you can actually buy Christmas cards like this somewhere!

Please?

Send somebody a card like that and you'll be cooking your own goose!

Not very funny, I admit, but it's actually the second example of wordplay I've used tonight.

So if I had a penny for every example of wordplay I've ever used... I'd have 2 pennies.:D

ETA - Had to tidy it up. George Michael says that guilty feet have got no rhythm.

Whacko says that drunk fingers have got no spelling.

Wanna really be evil? Show her the billboard at the Lincoln Tunnel.

Go ahead. You KNOW you want to Google.

ETA: The one that says "Myth," not "Real" ...

Regarding the following posts ....

And especially the below YouTube link by Mac...

I found the following "related" YouTube video in the same page as the YouTube video Mac linked. It's a whole slide show of nothing but vintage Krampus cards.

And another one! :)

AW. A very nice place!

... that reaction is fairly common. When witnessing someone being kindly and altruistic one has a tendency to think that person is up to something, sinister, or has some ulterior motive in place. We laud kindness and yet it is a characteristic few actually believe in.

Working in a hospital where we deal every day with real physical and sexual abuse victims (many children) makes these images less than office friendly for me. Particularly today's...

I guess actually seeing kids who can't sit down due to beatings makes Krampus pics less amusing. Just saying.

I agree that child abuse is horrible Phaeal - some people are far worse than any imaginary monster like Krampus.

That said, the images of Krampus shown on AW are from a long gone era, and I find them fascinating.

All imaginary monsters are we.

(Argh. Grammatical correctness leads to sounding like Yoda. However, there are worse fates.)

Hey, if I can deal with 'em ...

General note: If anyone spots a picture of Krampus holding a wire coat hanger, I want it.

What if you don't use FireFox? I tried downloading this and I'm still confused as hell. (I adamantly don't want to look at that creepy thing anymore, ever, if I can help it.)

I love Krampus.

I've been trying to figure out what to do about this year's X-mas cards...running late as usual. And I stumbled on this thread. As soon as I get home from work, I'm going to start working on some Krampus art.

One year, I made out a card featuring a dragon, knife and fork in hand, getting ready to chow down on a knight. "Silent Knight, Holey Knight." So warped cards are my specialty.
