Do you also have Firefox? There's a nice plugin for taking screen shots with FF.

You can do a "Print Screen" and paste it to another file. If needed, you can then crop the image.

You don't need a special App. Simply press PrtScn, and then open a new file in Paint. Select Edit, Paste and your screen shot will display. You can crop it in Paint, and copy/Paste it into your email, or wherever you want. If you don't need to crop the screen shot, just paste it directly into your email or wherever.

ALT-Print Screen (in other words, press both at the same time) will capture the active window (the one that the top bar is "lit up" on)

Print Screen will capture the entire screen.

Then, as others pointed out, Right Click and Paste (or just hit CTRL-V) and you can paste the capture into a document.
