Uhm, hi. I'm Alex, and I'm a writeaholic. (Hi, Alex.) It's been an hour and a half since I last wrote... Oh, wait, this isn't Writeaholics Anonymous? Do we still get coffee?

More seriously, hi! I used to be on the forums years ago, but I got idle pruned a while ago. I am a software engineer from Seattle, and I ride horses and take photographs, as well as writing. I have written two novels, submitted one, published none. I have a set of Mokeskine notebooks labelled "Pocket Muse," full of more story ideas than I could conceivably finish in a lifetime.

I have an unfortunate tendency of idling off of forums.

Nice to be here! ...please pass the coffee?

I'm from Seattle; we actually have a particular martial art -- ninjava -- developed here among these caffeine-soaked rainy hills, specifically for such cases.

I have to actually confess that, despite being a Seattle native, I've only just learned to actually tolerate coffee in the past few months. (And that solely due to overwork-induced fatigue.) I must have inherited my tastes from my English ancestors, because I still vastly prefer tea.

But to stick with the 'Writeaholics Anonymous' motif of my first post, I had to go with coffee.
