Hello. I'm ShadowFlame, and I'm desperate for feedback on a series I'm working on called Arcarna. I love all things romantic, fantastic, horrific and even a little bit erotic, fused with elements of comedy and my signature writing style. I mainly write pagan influenced gothic fantasy love stories, as I'm an avid reader of classic gothic literature such as Phantom of the Opera and Dracula, as well as some modern paranormal romance. And I adore the fantasy section. Even better if there's a love story involved.
I often seek inspiration from things such as old hollywood, disney, classic horror films and classic myths and fairy tales, however I put my own spin on it and make it my own. As a writer, I'm always looking for inspiration, and I'll often write short stories based on classic tales that have had a particular effect on me - that's not because I'm a copy cat, but because it gives me a stimulus to structure my writing around. I can then twist it in any direction I want to create a story that is my own. I am an aspiring actor, so I often look towards films, plays and TV programmes as inspiration.
