I submitted my manuscript to Literary Management Group and received an email back from Bruce Barbour requesting the full manuscript to be sent to his fiction specialist, Lavonne Stevens. Ms. Stevens has has my manuscript for quite a while. She has given my work to a reader panel for review. I even worked with the first reader to make some revisions before it was given to a second reader. I am wondering if anyone has any feedback on this agency and the above mentioned people since this whole process is very strange and new to me.

I decided to submit to them after reading their names on Michael Hyatt's blog entry on agencies that work with first time authors seeking to be published in the Christian book market.

I am in the same situation. Does anyone know anything about this group? Besides their web address. It's vague with no list of sales.

The "latest fiction release" currently on their home page is from Sept '11, and by Barbour Publishing, which Bruce co-founded with his uncle.

No books at all on the site now, however a couple recent ('14) books out by BP thank him as agent.

ETA: non-BP books are to imprints which don't require an agent. And Morgan James.
