After months of listening to the writing dialogue between authors from my safe wallflower position, I figured it was about time to enter the conversation.
I'm a graduate student from the University of Northern Colorado majoring in English with a Creative writing emphasis. I finished a 40K novel and 25 page critical introduction about a month ago, which I will be presenting and defending in the spring.
I'm mostly interested in joining this writing community and just getting to know other writers. I am particularly interested in YA writing of all kinds. I'd like to do a lot more reading of other "struggling" writers' work for both support and encouragement. I posted something on the Beta thread.
I'm in Hawaii for the Christmas break. Wow, it is nice. The sun is so comforting. Anyway, I'm happy to join the conversation.
