Well, Google Europe is an Irish company that operates in all the nations of Europe. If British lawmakers were to direct BA to pay tax in all the nations within the EU that it operates in, instead of "diverting its cashflow to London" then I'd be saying 'Jolly good old chaps'. But you'll never hear MPs criticising the "social irresponisbility of BA" in regards to "tax evasion" in Sweden, France, Portugal, Germany, and so on. :)

Oh, yeah, and not a single MP avoided/evaded (one's illegal and one isn't and I can never remember which is which) Capital Gains Tax when they were selling the homes they had renovated at taxpayers' expense. Why did Hazel 'Fright Dwarf' Blears pay £13,000 to HMRC on the tax she should have paid but didn't when she sold her second home? Could it be because she knew she'd done something wrong?

Let's get MPs' tax affairs in to the open, then when they're all whiter than white (HA!) they can start bitching about Google. And they MAKE THE LAWS that allow this tax avoidance/evasion in the first place, so if it's that abhorrent to them they should sort it out instead of whining. What a disgusting bunch of hypocritical wankers.

Grrrrr. Grrrrr.

Diddums.

And the MP Hogg -- who is trying to claim the ancient law of estoppel ( derived from the French word 'bung' no less) means he doesn't have to pay back the expenses he claimed for the upkeep of his moat -- is different how exactly?

If he can try and find a legal loophole so he can pretend he's done nothing morally wrong, why can't Google?
