This is my image, I took it, so please allow the hotlink.

White House blogs today that because Republicans have delayed the health care bill vote, the Senate hasn't voted on the newest wartime funding appropriations bill.... AND BLAMES THE LACK OF THE VOTE ON THE REPUBLICANS.

Excuse me?

Do not the Democrats hold the gavel in the Senate?
Do they not hold it in the House?

WHO SETS THE AGENDA IN THE SENATE?
WHO SETS IT IN THE HOUSE?

If a vote is to be coming... is it not the president of the senate who decides that?

What enormous balls you must have, to blame the minority party for not allowing something to come to vote, when, GOSH, you could **POSSIBLY** say "tabling this bill for 2 hours, to bring another bill to vote. seconded? approved."

But be that as it may, maybe the White House's blogger isn't that bright.

After all, he was incapable of either spelling his own title correctly OR spell checking it...

Um..."games is over" is correct.

The time [for political games] is over.

The time (singular) is over.

Well okay, "the time is over" is weak: the time is up, the time has passed, etc.

Good catch, I guess I just never would have phrased it that way.
