I've never worked with them as a writer, but as a librarian, I'd probably meet with two or three vendors in person per year, and one of them would have a ton of Capstone/Compass Point/Stone Arch books. I'd find promising things in their catalogues on a regular basis as well-- things like their DC Readers are really popular and circulate well. It's my impression that Stone Arch's target market is school and public libraries, rather than bookstore sales, if that helps any?

They want series books, finished ones. So if you're not finished, don't submit. They also are looking to hire authors to write books on their specs. If you like writing on assignment and don't mind tight deadlines, you might want to apply.
