Although at first glance it looks like yet another self-publishing operation opened to others, this one has nice covers and actual distribution. Could certainly do worse for regional publishing.
They are a regional small press. They don't seem to take on a lot of books, but I've noticed that several of their authors are doing a heck of a lot of promotion work on their own. But as far as I can tell, they're not a vanity press.
Twitter feed halted 4/12. In Jan '13, site changed to a "we're reinventing ourselves!" page, but it has long since counted down with no sign of further activity.
