All agents, nonfiction or fiction, are more than ready to sign any writer who can convince them they have written the next mega-hit.

There are hundreds of agents throughout the US. Have you researched any to see which ones are appropriate? Have you prepared a dynamite query letter (1 page is best -- 11/2 only if you must) and a proposal (5-25 pages) for your work and which you can send to appropraite agents? That's where it all starts -- research, query, proposal, mail off and wait for replies.
