Well, I happen to be a Truther, so my views may not be welcome here.

As I said before, I don't consider myself a Truther, but I agree with your post. The US government squandered the goodwill and sympathy most of the rest of the world offered after 9/11 with its hamfisted, unnecessarily violent response to the attacks.

While I do not agree with your views, you have in this country the right to have them and not be persecuted for thinking as you do, even about your government and in this forum.

I asked people to Remember 9/11, what they experienced, and to be willing to share what they experienced, not to discuss necessarily what has happened since. That's been done and continues to be done ad naseum by all political stripes all over the blogosphere and internet. All I sought to do was to remember the day, what you experienced, what you felt and thought --and that includes Truthers.

I do not have much faith in my government, but even now, I am not willing to presume bad faith on the part of all actors whether they have an R or a D next to their name.
