Because. This is Dan's thread, I would feel bad sullying it up with talk of soil, fertilizer and muck.

Selfish? Nah, don't think so. But he keeps me from sticking my foot quite so deeply into my posterior when he's here. I need all the help I can get.

Ahem. Arthroscopic knee surgery last month. :)

If I were truly flexible, we would be talking about my head, right?

I just learned what Steampunk is. I'm not real sure what I thought is was, but I never guessed a SF/F stepchild.

I like steampunk. It's an interesting concept, and makes for some neat visuals. There was a thing on the radio the other day about a group making steampunk music - playing modern stuff on older instruments. it was... interesting... to listen to.

Hmmm. I've read a series, can't remember which one right now, that featured many worlds. FTL drive starships and worlds where the people determined the level of technology. It seems that somehow the dead found a way to cross back over and take over living bodies...perhaps you know the work? One of the worlds featured steampower as the highest level of technology allowed. But they were aware of higher tech. So it's close but *technically* no cigar.

I pawed around through my paperback collection and I can't find it right now. Oh well, it's not that important. I grasp the concept. Not certain about the music, interesting may be a kindness. I would have to hear it.

barman?

barkeep?
anyone?,.....

i'd like a whiskey.
oh hell, it's early better make it a beer or two.

come to think of it better substitute the beer for some eggs.
while you're at it some bacon might be nice.

any vegatables back there? peppers and onions are always good in eggs.
a health dash of chipolte would do nicely.
probably some taters on the side would be a good way to round out things.

i'd probably need something to wash that down with too,....like coffee.

*takes my not untidy whiskey and sits at an empty table watching a tumbleweed blow in from the open door.

Sure is quiet around here.
