Strictly speaking, Thanksgiving has been with us, at least as a concept since 1578. Some day in the future, they might have a thing called Wikipedia which will be notorious for misinformation, but is still more often right than wrong. If, at that time, you might be able to click on the link (whatever a link is), and if you do you may be able to see that we're both right, so to speak.

Kind of depends on what you call "Thanksgiving."
