... and some large critter just scurried across my roof. Starting to think I don't have enough insulation up there or something...

Sorry it takes so long to get back. I'm attempting to a buch of other stuff here.

I like rain and snow too, boston. I just tired of all the blue sky. we've had to much of it lately.

:Wha:

I'll remember you said that come December. We have some fantastic blue skies here, especially during the summer, and the prettiest sunsets outside of Hawaii (not that I've ever been for comparison, but some magazine said so once).

None of which applies to December, when we average 3 days of blue sky. Period.

So there's no such thing as too much blue sky, unless you need rain and aren't getting it.

ergo my caveat about if you need rain...

yeah, no, I'm not inclined to trade. We rarely see temps that high, even in mid summer, and quite frankly I'm more than pleased by that.

I'll take several feet of snow in the winter over sweltering summers any day.

I live here in Northern California, but I'm from Colorado. The western slope of the Rockies.

I *hate* heat. Especially sweltering heat. We had that in the summers in Shanghai, and it was like stepping into a sauna when you went outside. Ick. Cause eventually you have to be in it, and unlike cold where you just add more layers, there are limits to what you can take off.

(In public, Tink, before you go getting ideas. ;) )

(you, too, cella :D)

Northern Californ-i-a huh? I have been through the Northern Rockies, Montana and up around Idaho Pass over into Orgeon. Man it was beautiful out west and as for the 100 degree temps, we have that here along with 100% humidity. Sweltering hot!!!

I will have to agree with you on that...it is quite swampy here through our hottest months. Sometimes it feels like you have to swim through the air here but that has to be better than what ya have been going through out there.
