Sometimes I am actually SO DUMB it hurts.

I was in a hurry to leave tonight but I thought I'd go ahead and toss another few logs into the stove so it would still be toasty when I came home.

Only the log I picked wasn't sized quite right and got wedged in there so that I couldn't shut the doors. The fire was already hot and the log caught right away. So there I was kicking the darn thing, my whole body burning from the heat of the stove. I finally put gloves on and pulled it out, and having a 30lb flaming log fly at you from a stove is more than scary when you're already flustered.

whew!!

so, here I am.

Guinness please.

Dang!

Got it. *I guess we can call this guinness*

So, how'd you put it out? Throw it in the bathtub?

Thanks.

No, I just picked it back up with the gloves on and threw it back in then shoved at it with a pry bar for a while until I could shut the doors.

It's good, all fixed. New tire, new belt, new waterpump. Keep your fingers crossed that that's it for now!

Thank you Dan.

Don't tell Cella but that Guinness looks like something you would drain from a crankcase.

Smart man. :D

I wonder if you put a stick in it, would it stay standing? Maybe they forgot to strain it first.

Should give that a try, sometime. :D

My odds are on the stick standing.

You know, I've seen something like that in a cow lot, after a big rain. Brown water, that is.

You probably shouldn't say that. You might make, Cella, sick.

True...

Random thought:

Why is it that the cats want to keep using my boots as a scraching post?

Nail a carpet scrap to a two by four that you've fixed upright. I suppose your boots are the only satisfying thing they can find to sharpen their claws on. Leather scraps might work too.

Ever seen a cat wired?

Just give'em a little miracle grow and watch'em go....
